FRAGRANCE AND BEAUTY GUIDE

" 'All the perfumes of Arabia cannot sweeten this little hand…'…..Shakespeare This quote highlights the importance and impact of Arab world in the field of perfumes. It proves that the best perfumes are originated and come from the Arab world. Therefore, naturally and logically, the Arabs are the best connoisseurs of perfumes. It is an indispensable part of Arab culture, which reflect the good taste, and status of the wearer."

OCCIDENTAL

The history of the perfumery is as old as the history of humanity. The first use of the perfumes was in the civilizations of Mesopotamia, cultural cradle of the western civilisation. Much later Venice and Florence were the capitals of the perfumes, and then the apparition of the Commercial Perfumery France passed on to become the empire of the perfumes.

Occidental denotes the characteristic of the countries of Europe and the Western Hemisphere; “occidental perfumes”; perfumes relating to the countries of the Occident or their people or culture; Western Occidental Perfumes are generally solutions containing 15% to 20% perfume oils 80% to 85% alcohol. Today we donate this term to those Fragrances that have Western influence and form a major part of the Rasasi product range.

ORIENTAL

Is the term for perfumes containing ingredients that are reminiscent of Fragrances from the East (ingredients like the exotic blossom notes, spices, balsams, resins and animalic components). The notes inf the “Oriental conject conjure up associations with the legendary Fragrances of the Orient, as typified by the sweet balms and resins of Arabia and precious spices from India.

The traditional Arab Community has always been known to patronize the strong, woody fragrances from time immemorial like Oudh, Bukhoor etc. However it would certainly be wrong to conclude that Oriental Perfumes are especially popular in the Orient. On the contrary, they enjoy great success in the Occident, i.e. in Europe and especially in the United States.

CATEGORIES OF FRAGRANCES

Every perfume/fragrance belongs to specific groups or families and there are six main categories of fragrance: green and natural, sporty/clean, floral sweet, musk,oriental/spicy and woody/chypre.

The first of a typical  fragrance families is the natural family, typically projecting images of ocean walks and forest pine. If long walks in woodland and by oceans or a moonlight walk along the beach inspire you then this family group may be for you.

The second fragrance family and also the most popular of the fragrance groups is floral or sweet fragrances.  The aroma for these fragrances comes from one or several flowers. These types of fragrance are known in the industry as 'soliflore'. Their distinct fragrance gives a playful and light quality and they are particularly popular in the spring/summer months.

Musk fragrances are the next fragrance family and these are strongly distinctive and sexy aromas. These fragrances are very distinctive and quite notably powerful. These fragrances are the strongest aromas in all the fragrance families. These fragrances originate from male deer from the Himalayas, musk oxen and muskrats and these these scents are associated with women who know who they are, and are confident to make a statement.
